Paron’s Lagoon is located to 32 km from Caraz's city and is the most important sweet water tank of Huaylas's Alley, is at the foot of the snow-capped mountain Paria and it is located to 4,185 meters of altitude, with a maximum of 76 meters from the water mirror to the bottom and it is estimated in 55 million cubic meters.
It is a tourist place of conventional order that begins in Caraz's city, continuing for the Gully of the river Llullán, Gully Parón and Parón's impressive lagoon, place with abundant flora and natural fauna, surrounded with snow-capped mountains as Caraz, Garcilazo, Pisco and Huandoy.
