Hatunmachay - Conococha's lagoon (4,100 m)
DURATION: Aprox. 6 hrs.
DISTANCE: 90 KM
Tour of one day, towards Huaraz's south.
Coming to Conococha , then take the detour towards Pampas Chico,it is in the kilometre 131.
To 11 km from Conococha and continuing for this route approximately 25 minutes we will observe when comes to the high part of the way a bifurcation that takes us to the left side, five minutes later we will have Hatunmachay at sight.
The rock that we find here is of granite eroded by the water, the wind and the glaciers. It is very similar to the one that we can find in Huayllay for having being eroded of the same form. It is possible to find something of volcanic rock but in minor proportions.
