DAY 1 ARRIVE LIMA
Arrive to Lima; transfer airport - hotel. City tour around "city of the kings"
DAY 2 PUNO
Transfer to the airport to take an early fly to Juliaca and a 1 hr bus ride to puno town; a cold, high-altitude city on the shores of Lake Titicaca; is the center of folklore in southern Peru and the de facto capital of the altiplano region. (3800 mt)
DAY 3 LAKE TITICACA - TAQUILE ISLANDS
From puno, in the morning, we board a boat to visit taquile islands, stopping on rout to check out the floating reed islands of uros, then are immersed into Peruvian rural life with a home stay in a small village (4000 mt)
DAY 4 PUNO
Tour visit to an old Inca cemetery and the chulpas to know a bit more about puno culture
DAY 5 CUZCO
Enjoy spectacular views of the high Altiplano region on this full day of travel from Puno to Cuzco (3500 mt)
DAY 6 SACRED VALLEY - OLLANTAYTAMBO
Travel with our local guide through the sacred valley, including the picturesque town and Inca ruins of ollantaytambo. We stay at the valley for overnight (2800 mt)
DAY 7 AL 10 INCA TRAIL TO MACHU PICCHU
Begin your once in a lifetime journey on the ancient trail of the Incas with a morning trip to Km 82, where our hike start. Local porters and guides ensure that the trip is worry-free. Fascinating ruins and spectacular mountain scenery fill every day of the hike. On the final day, climb the steps to Inkipunku, the "sun gate", to watch the sunrise over macchu picchu before our tour of the famous Inca Ruins. We return to Cuzco for the night.
DAY 11 CUZCO
With a friendly, colonial atmosphere, Cuzco offers nearby Inca ruins, cobblestone streets, museums, markets and churches. Enjoy with us a very completely city tour.
DAY 12 DEPART CUZCO
Midday fly to return Lima. Enjoy your last day at the "City of Kings
